The Winchester SXR2 Field is a gas-operated, semi-automatic hunting rifle built around an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receiver and a 7-lug rotating bolt for secure lockup and consistent accuracy. The Field wears Grade I satin walnut furniture with line-style checkering, an Inflex II recoil pad and a detachable box magazine (DBM). The SXR2 Field is fitted with a precision, button-rifled FN Herstal barrel (53 cm / ~20.9 in) and open sights — a fiber-optic front sight adjustable for windage and elevation — and the action is drilled & tapped for scope mounts. The rifle features an adjustable gas system to work with a wide range of hunting loads and is offered in big-game calibers including .300 Winchester Magnum.
