The Winchester Wildcat is a lightweight autoloading .22 LR rifle built with rugged polymer upper and lower assemblies and an ambidextrous skeletonized polymer buttstock. It uses a straight blow-back action and feeds from a 10-round rotary detachable magazine with a spring-assisted magazine ejection and fully ambidextrous magazine release. The Wildcat 18-inch model features an 18in precision button-rifled chromoly steel barrel with a recessed target-style crown, an integral Picatinny top rail for optics, and a fully-adjustable ghost-ring rear sight with a ramped post front sight. The design includes a reversible manual safety and a lower receiver that can be removed from the upper assembly without tools. The 18in configuration carries a nominal weight of 4 lb and is offered in an OD Green polymer finish (Sporter variant).
