The M&P15-22 SPORT is a .22 Long Rifle blowback-operated semi-automatic sport rifle configured with a 16.5in carbon steel barrel and a 25+1 round detachable magazine. It ships optic-ready and includes Magpul MBUS folding iron sights.
This SPORT configuration features a slim M-LOK® handguard, a B5 Systems Bravo stock and P-Grip 23 for improved ergonomics, and a polymer upper and lower receiver to reduce weight. The rifle is built to be compatible with many standard AR-15 components and accessories.
Other verified features include an A2 birdcage flash suppressor, 1:15" rifling, a 2-position receiver-mounted safety, and overall lengths of 33.8in (extended) and 30.5in (collapsed).
