The Savage A Series Magnum is a delayed-blowback, semi-automatic rimfire rifle engineered for magnum rimfire cartridges. It uses a 10-round rotary magazine and features a thread-in headspace system and Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger for a crisp, consistent pull. Built on Savage's A Series platform, the 47700 configuration is chambered for the 17 Mach 2 (17 HM2) cartridge with a 20in carbon-steel barrel and a black synthetic stock. The design targets high-performance rimfire use including varmint/target applications and fast follow-up shots.
