The M4A1 RIII is an AR-15 pattern semi-automatic rifle built by Daniel Defense in 5.56 NATO. It features a 14.5 in cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined government-profile barrel with a 1:7" twist and a pinned & welded extended flash suppressor for overall length compliance. The rifle ships with a 32-round DD magazine.
The rifle uses Daniel Defense's RIS III 12.5" free-float handguard (M-LOK-equipped) with the company's patented 6-bolt bolt-up system and a continuous top Picatinny rail. The lower is fully ambidextrous — ambidextrous safety selector, bolt catch, and magazine release — and comes with Daniel Defense overmolded pistol grip and buttstock.
Measurements and handling are in line with DD's RIII family: a mid-length gas system, overall length of 31.5in (stock collapsed) to 34.75in (stock extended), and a listed weight around 6.39 lb.
