The Colt Enhanced Patrol Rifle (EPR) Gen II is an AR-15 pattern carbine built for duty use. The 16.1in variant ships with a 16.1in free-float barrel (Colt proprietary Cr-Mo-V, chrome-lined where specified by the EPR family) chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and a 30-round PMAG. It features a continuous MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) top rail with Magpul MBUS Pro metal folding front and rear sights and an M-LOK® compatible free-floating handguard.
The EPR Gen II includes ambidextrous controls (safety selector, magazine catch and improved charging handle on PRO variants), a carbine-length gas system operating from a closed bolt, and a collapsible buttstock. The platform is capable of hosting a sound suppressor and is offered with factory MIL-SPEC finishes and certified component testing for bolts and barrels.
