The Colt MSR Carbine model CR6762 is a semi-automatic, AR-15 style carbine chambered in 7.62x39mm. It is built on 7075-T6 aluminum receivers finished in black hardcoat anodize and is fitted with a 16.1in chrome-lined 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium M4-profile barrel with a 1:7" RH twist. The rifle ships with a 30-round detachable box magazine; overall length is listed as 32in to 35.5in and unloaded weight is approximately 6 lb 4.6 oz.
The CR6762 uses an A2-style front sight and a Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight, a classic clamshell (delta-ring) handguard, and a six-position adjustable buttstock. It features a manual safety selector, a top Picatinny rail for optics, and a factory A2-style flash hider on threaded muzzle (1/2-28).
