The Colt M5 Carbine CM556-16-M5S is a 5.56 x 45mm NATO semi-automatic carbine built on Colt's M4/M16 family. It features a 16.1 in free-float barrel and a one-piece M-LOK free-floating rail system (15.1" length) with a continuous 12 o'clock MIL-STD-1913 top rail.
Factory iron sights are folding low-profile Troy Battlesights and the rifle ships configured for 30-round PMAG magazines. Controls and ergonomics include a multi-position adjustable buttstock and fully ambidextrous control layout as specified by the manufacturer.
