The Ruger SFAR (Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle) is chambered in 7.62 NATO / .308 Winchester and was introduced by Ruger as a compact .308-sized modern sporting rifle. The SFAR features CNC-machined 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers, the Ruger Elite 452 trigger, and a 4-position regulated gas block with on-board regulator tool.
Model 5610 (the 16" configuration) ships with a free-float 15" Lite M-LOK handguard, Magpul MOE SL stock and Magpul MOE grip, and includes one 20-round Magpul PMAG. Barrels are cold hammer-forged with 5R rifling and finished with a black nitride treatment; barrels are threaded 5/8"-24 and the rifle is fitted from the factory with a 2-port Boomer muzzle brake.
