The Smith & Wesson Model 1854 in .30-30 Winchester is a lever-action hunting rifle built on a forged 416 stainless-steel receiver with a 20 in. 410 stainless barrel. This Traditional Walnut variant features a walnut stock and forend with textured grip panels and an Armornite black finish on metal surfaces. The rifle ships optic-ready with a Picatinny-style top rail and an adjustable XS Sights® ghost-ring rear sight paired with a gold bead front sight.
Other verified features include a large-loop operating lever, a flat-faced trigger, a cross-bolt manual safety, a removable magazine tube (6-round magazine capacity) and a threaded muzzle (?-24 TPI) with thread protector. The Model 1854 .30-30 is supplied in a 6+1 capacity and is offered as a hunting/field-oriented lever-action with modern accessory compatibility via M-LOK slots on the forend and an optics rail on the receiver.
