It features a flat trigger, large-loop operating lever, side loading gate with side ejection, and a removable magazine tube for easier unloading. The rifle includes a 4.75in Picatinny optics base, an XS Sights adjustable ghost-ring rear sight and a gold-bead front sight, and a 11/16-24 threaded muzzle with thread protector.
The walnut-furnished variant has textured grip panels on the stock and forend, an overall length of 36in, a 9+1 capacity, and a manufacturer-listed weight of 7.1 lbs. The Model 1854 series blends traditional lever-gun aesthetics with modern enhancements such as optics readiness and a threaded muzzle.
