The BLR Lightweight '81 Stainless Takedown is a takedown variant of Browning's BLR lever-action rifle family featuring a satin-nickel receiver, stainless barrel and gray laminated hardwood stock. The takedown design allows the rifle to separate for compact transport and storage without disturbing a mounted scope.
The rifle uses a detachable box magazine (long-action standard calibers hold four rounds in the magazine) and is drilled and tapped for optic mounts; a TruGlo front sight and adjustable rear iron sight are standard on the Stainless Takedown configuration. The action is a rack-and-pinion lever design with a folding hammer that provides a half-cock safety position.
