The Ruger American Rifle model 6902 is chambered in 270 Winchester with a 22 in barrel and a 4-round flush-fit detachable magazine. The rifle features an alloy steel barrel/receiver with a matte black finish and a black synthetic stock; overall length is 42.5 in and weight is 6.2 lb.
Factory features include the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, Power Bedding® integral bedding block with a free-floated barrel, and a soft rubber buttpad for recoil reduction. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting (standard models have no iron sights) and the rifle uses a two-position tang safety.
