Manufacturer Description
The Winchester Model 70 is a bolt-action rifle family marketed as a hunting-grade bolt action with controlled-round-feed operation, a three-position safety and the M.O.A. trigger system for a crisp, adjustable trigger pull. It is offered in multiple configurations and chamberings and is presented by Winchester as an all-purpose hunting rifle.
Modern Model 70 rifles feature free-floating barrels with recessed target crowns and receivers drilled & tapped for scope mounts (no factory iron sights), and they are built with features intended to support accuracy and field use, including a blade-type ejector and a receiver/stock bedding approach designed to preserve point-of-impact under recoil.
