Manufacturer Description
The Winchester XPR is a bolt-action hunting rifle built around a precision-machined chrome-moly receiver and a free-floated, button-rifled chrome-moly steel barrel. XPR rifles use Winchester’s M.O.A. trigger system (factory set to a crisp break) and a detachable single-stack polymer box magazine for reliable feeding.
The action features a through-hardened chrome-moly bolt with three front locking lugs, a short 60° lift and a Nickel Teflon coating for smooth operation. Every XPR is offered with durable PERMA-COTE™ or CERAKOTE™ finishes on barrel, receiver and bolt handle, and an advanced polymer stock with textured grip panels and an INFLEX® technology recoil pad for improved shooter comfort and control.
The receiver is drilled and tapped for 8-40 scope mounts to accept larger, high-magnification optics. Additional factory features include a two-position safety with integrated bolt release and a recessed target-style crown at the muzzle to protect the rifling.
