The Winchester XPR is a modern bolt-action hunting rifle built on a precision-machined, through-hardened chromoly steel receiver and fitted with an advanced polymer (synthetic) stock with textured panels and an Inflex recoil pad. The action is drilled and tapped for robust scope bases and the rifle uses a detachable box magazine.
Factory features verified for the XPR family include the M.O.A. trigger system (factory preset around 3.5 lb and adjustable 3–5 lb), a magazine capacity of three rounds (with an additional round able to be chambered), and a right-side manual safety that blocks the trigger and locks the bolt. The receiver is drilled and tapped for 8-40 scope-base screws to accept scope mounts.
