The Winchester XPR Hunter Strata in 6.8 Western is a short-action bolt-action hunting rifle built on Winchester's XPR platform. It features a 24in button-rifled chromoly barrel with a 1:8" twist optimized for long, high-BC .277 bullets and a through-hardened steel receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The rifle ships in a TrueTimber Strata composite stock with Perma-Cote FDE finish on metal surfaces and uses Winchester's M.O.A. trigger system and a two-position thumb safety. Feeding is from a 3-round detachable box magazine. The scope-combo variants include a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 scope mounted with Weaver-style rings and bases.
