Offered for sale is a Ruger M77 Mark II RSM chambered in .416 Rigby, one of the finest dangerous‑game rifles Ruger ever produced. The RSM series was built with premium features normally found on custom safari rifles, including Ruger’s controlled‑round‑feed action, integral quarter rib, barrel‑band front sight, and a reinforced walnut stock designed specifically for heavy calibers.

This rifle also comes equipped with a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro (2.5 MOA) red‑dot sight, mounted on an AHR (American Hunting Rifles) custom Ruger mount. This setup provides fast, instinctive target acquisition — ideal for close‑range dangerous‑game scenarios or shooters who prefer a modern sighting option on a classic safari rifle. The mount is solid, properly fitted, and maintains the rifle’s clean lines without altering any factory metalwork.

Condition

Excellent overall. Metal finish is clean with no rust, pitting, or finish loss. Wood shows normal handling marks from field use, including a slightly shallow 1" scrape (not a gouge) on the left side of the fore‑end at the rear of the checkering. No cracks or structural issues. Bore is bright with strong rifling. The DeltaPoint Pro is clear, bright, and fully functional.

This one shipped from the factory in 2004. Ruger discontinued the RSM line years ago, and good-condition rifles are becoming increasingly sought after by collectors and hunters alike, although for me, this one was an express rifle made for the field and not for display. Nevertheless, it is a thing of beauty!
