The Model 2020 Waypoint is a premium American-made bolt-action hunting rifle built on Springfield Armory’s Model 2020 action. It uses a hand-laid, pillar-bedded AG Composites carbon-fiber stock with M-Lok® slots and multiple QD sling cups for field use. The Waypoint is offered with either a fluted stainless barrel or a BSF carbon-fiber–sleeved barrel and ships with an SA Radial muzzle brake.
The action features a fluted nitride-coated bolt running in EDM-cut raceways and is fed by AICS-pattern magazines. A TriggerTech adjustable field trigger (adjustable roughly 2.5–5 lb) is fitted from the factory, and the receiver includes a Picatinny/Rem-700 style optic mount (no factory iron sights). Springfield publishes a .75 MOA accuracy guarantee with match-grade ammunition.
