The Savage Impulse KLYM is a lightweight straight-pull hunting rifle built with a PROOF Research carbon-fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel and an FBT carbon-fiber thumbhole stock. The rifle ships with an Omniport muzzle brake installed and a threaded 5/8x24 muzzle. The aluminum receiver includes an integral one-piece 20 MOA rail for optics.
The Impulse KLYM uses Savage's straight-pull action with an ambidextrous, removable, multi-positional threaded bolt handle (carbon fiber knob) and a detachable box magazine (capacity varies by caliber). It features a user-adjustable AccuTrigger (1.5–4 lb) and a two-position tang safety, plus two sling studs and the MagnaSwitch attachment system on the forend.
