The Savage AXIS II XP is a bolt-action package rifle built for field use. This AXIS II XP is chambered in 30-06 Springfield with a 22 in button-rifled carbon-steel barrel and ships with a factory-mounted, bore-sighted 3-9x40mm scope. It features Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger and a detachable four-round box magazine.
The rifle uses an ergonomic gray synthetic stock and a ventilated recoil pad. Headspacing is set with Savage's thread-in headspacing process and the barreled action is finished in a matte gray/black finish. The AXIS II XP balances affordability and out-of-the-box accuracy for hunting and recreational shooting.
