The Savage IMPULSE Hog Hunter is a straight-pull rifle built on a matte-black aluminum receiver with a carbon-steel medium-contour, threaded 18" barrel and an OD Green synthetic stock. The action uses a round-knob straight-pull bolt and the rifle is fed from a flush-fit detachable box magazine; a 1-piece 20 MOA rail is machined into the receiver (no factory iron sights).
Chambered in .308 Winchester (SKU 57653) the 18" Hog Hunter model lists a 4-round magazine capacity, a factory-threaded muzzle (5/8-24"), and a manufacturer weight of 8.43 lbs. MSRP for the North American 57653 SKU is listed at 1509.
