The Savage Axis 2 Pro is a bolt-action hunting rifle built around Savage's AccuTrigger and a detachable 4-round magazine (4+1 capacity). This Western-camo synthetic-stock configuration features a heavier-contour, Cerakote-finished barrel and action with a factory-threaded muzzle and included thread protector. The action is factory-topped with a one-piece 0-MOA Picatinny rail for optics mounting. Out of the box the Axis 2 Pro ships with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a textured polymer stock in Savage Western camo, and a detachable flush-fitting magazine. The rifle is marketed as a field-ready hunting rifle with a relatively compact 20 in barrel and an overall length appropriate for hunting and general-range use.
