The Savage AXIS 2 Pro in .308 Win is built on the AXIS platform with a 20 in spiral-fluted, threaded barrel finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote and matched to a Forest SP camouflage synthetic stock. The Pro models feature a one-piece Picatinny rail machined to the action and a threaded muzzle (5/8"x24) for accessories. Factory features include Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, an elongated ergonomic bolt handle, and a removable 4-round magazine for reliable feeding. The action and barrel receive Cerakote protection and the Forest SP models employ spiral fluting on the barrel for the Pro line. Measured specifications include an overall length of approximately 103 cm and a listed weight of about 3.1 kg. The stock has a textured (pebble) grip and forend to aid handling in the field.
