The Ruger American Rimfire is a bolt-action rimfire rifle family built with Ruger's Power Bedding® integral bedding block and a free-floated, cold hammer-forged barrel for improved accuracy and consistency. The platform ships with the user-adjustable Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger and features a visible, accessible two-position tang safety.
The receiver is machined with a 3/8" rimfire scope base and is drilled and tapped for Weaver-style bases (some models include a one-piece Picatinny rail). The design accepts Ruger BX-series rotary magazines (family feature) and uses a 60° bolt lift to provide ample scope clearance. Many configurations exist across the family (synthetic, wood, stainless and specialty finishes), so model-specific dimensions and capacities vary.
