The Mossberg Patriot in 7mm-08 Rem is a short-action, bolt-action hunting rifle built around Mossberg’s twin-lug, push-feed machined steel action. It features a free-floating, button-rifled 22 in fluted carbon-steel barrel and a spiral-fluted bolt, and feeds from a flush polymer drop-box magazine with a 5+1 capacity. Receiver-mounted Weaver-style bases are provided for optics.
The Patriot is equipped with Mossberg’s LBA™ (Lightning Bolt Action) user-adjustable trigger (adjustable from 2 to 7 lb). This Walnut Classic-style model is finished with matte-blue metalwork and a classic walnut stock with textured stippling on the grip and forend. Overall length is 42.75 in with an approximate weight of 6.5–7 lbs.
