The CZ 457 Royal is a walnut-stocked, rimfire bolt-action rifle built for scoped shooting. It ships with a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a decorative forend tip and a high, flat American-style comb; the rifle omits traditional iron sights and is intended to be used with optics.
The Royal features a 20.5 in threaded barrel (1/2x20), a 5-round detachable magazine, an adjustable single-stage trigger (adjustable roughly 1.8–3.3 lb), a 60° bolt throw and a push-to-fire tang safety. Metal surfaces are finished in a black nitride (per CZ-USA catalog) and the rifle is supplied with sling swivel studs and a protective thread cap on the muzzle.
