The Browning X-Bolt Target Max is a bolt-action rifle developed and optimized for long-range target shooting and competition. It features a stiffer, full-diameter steel receiver, a fluted 26in stainless bull barrel with 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threads and a factory Recoil Hawg muzzle brake, and an included 20 MOA Picatinny optics rail.
The rifle includes Browning's adjustable Target DLX trigger (adjustable 2–3.3 lb), an extended bolt handle, and the Xtra Capacity Magazine System that accepts AICS-pattern magazines (ships with one MDT 10-round polymer magazine). Fit-and-comfort features include the adjustable MAX composite stock with vertical grip and height-adjustable comb, a free-floated barrel bedded front and rear, and a drilled & tapped receiver for optics.
