The X-Bolt Speed is a fluted-barrel variant of Browning's X-Bolt family finished with a Cerakote metal treatment and an OVIX hydrographic camo composite stock. Speed models ship with a thread-on radial-style muzzle brake and a thread protector to reduce felt recoil.
Speed rifles use a composite Vari-Tech/OVIX stock with an adjustable cheekpiece/comb and a glass-bedded steel receiver. The action is a short-throw bolt action with a tang-mounted two-position safety; the receiver is factory-prepared (drilled and tapped) for scope mounting.
