The X-Bolt 2 Hunter is Browning’s walnut-stocked member of the X-Bolt 2 family. It ships with Grade I black walnut sporting furniture with diamond-point checkering and a low-gloss satin finish paired to a matte-blued, sporter-weight barrel. Barrel lengths for the Hunter models range from 22 to 26 in depending on caliber, and the rotary magazine capacity on the test Hunter rifle was three rounds.
The X-Bolt 2 platform keeps the proven three-lug, 60° bolt lift and adds the new DLX trigger and the X-Lock scope mounting system. The rifle retains the tang safety and an Inflex recoil pad; X-Bolt rifles are manufactured for Browning by Miroku in Japan.
