We assume that most of its parts are Georgia production and not Austrian. Construction is steel impregnated polymer frame, sights, slide rear, magazine release, and trigger, with steel slide, barrel, and internal parts. Barrel is 3 1/4 inches, with 1: 9.84 six groove right hand twist polygonal rifling. Slide length is 5 3/4 inches, with 5.94 overall length including the hand protective grip frame strut. Width is .94 inch; and height is 4.13 inches from the top of the dovetailed white outline fixed rear sight to the bottom of the magazine floorplate. Front sight is stake on white dot, with 4.92 inch sight radius. Trigger is .375 smooth but with trigger safety; trigger pull is 5.5 pounds with 1/2 inch travel distance. All Glocks, of course, are striker fired blowback action semi automatics. Weight empty is 13 3/4 ounces, with center of gravity at the magazine release, and this Glock 42 is substantially heavier than its Diamondback Arms competitor. The model 42 comes with two magazines, capacity is 6 + 1 rounds of .380 ACP caliber ammunition. Steel case or lead bullet ammunition is best avoided in Glocks.
