This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Beretta's 84 Cheetah series pistols have always been their most classy, best feeling gun of all. 84BB production ran from 1982 until 1990. This one's AM date code indicates 1984 production. Manufacturer was Pietro Beretta, S.A., of Gardone, Italy. Slide is so marked and frame is so proofed. Importer stamp is on the left side slide as required by GCA68. Type is blowback action, single and double action semi automatic hammer fired pistol. Chambering is .380 ACP caliber in English, 9 Short in Italian, or 9mm Kurz in the German language. Construction is steel barrel, slide, and working parts fitted into a 7075 lightweight alloy frame. Barrel is 3 1/2 inch steel one piece, with a 1:10 right hand six groove bore. Slide is classic open top, serrrated rear. Sights are slide integral , and dovetailed black single that is drift adjustable for windage only. Trigger is .340 serrated face with overtravel stop. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent two stage 12 pound vicinity, with 1 1/8 inch of travel. Single action pull is two stage 1/2 inch travel with 5 pound vicinity pull, with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Hammer is .260 serrated round commander type. Magazine is original factory Beretta 13 rounder, so 13+1 fully loaded capacity. Main safety is ambidextrous frame mounted lever type. Safety will lock in all three positions, full rest, half cock and fully cocked, but the levers do Not decock the pistol. It also has a firing pin safety, but does NOT have any magazine safety; it Will fire single shot with no magazine. Safety and slide release levers are original factory extended serrated surface. Frame is first type round trigger guard, with grip frame serrated fore and aft. Grips are factory walnut. Basic finish is brushed surface blued steel, and gloss black anodized alloy. Embellishments include Lateral, forward, and upper engraving on the slide; and lateral forward engraving on the frame, half coverage. Trigger and hammer are gold plated. Left side slide's Script language is P. Beretta Gardone V.T. Made in Italy; right side slide reads P.B. Mod., - DeLuxe Patented. Grips are retouched tru-oil finish. Surface detractions on this Cheetah are Minimal, principally faint edge wear and scouring on the grips. We rate this 84 as Excellent Condition, Partial Grip Refinish, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate. Note that the left grip panel's presentation plate has never been inscribed. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We are furnishing it with a 1990s production Beretta USA Box. This pistol served in the Land of Israel with public civilian security. We estimate it has been fired fewer than 2000 times, no rounds at all for a Beretta 84. We estimate a custom piece like this from Beretta to be an affair of tall order, probably two years and two thousand dollars.
