The Walther P22 Target is a 5" .22 LR semi-automatic pistol built on Walther’s polymer-frame P22 family. The Target configuration uses a longer 127 mm (5 in) barrel and extended slide/weight to provide a longer sight radius and improved stability for target and range use.
Factory features verified for the P22 Target include a blowback action with DA/SA trigger operation, a 10-round detachable magazine, windage-adjustable low-profile , an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, and a MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny-style) accessory rail. Non-California (non-CA) models are supplied suppressor-ready with a threaded barrel (manufacturer thread specification), and Walther supplies the conversion spanner/wrench for service and barrel changes.
Ergonomic features from the factory include interchangeable backstraps and a molded, textured polymer grip. The pistol ships with the manufacturer’s loaded-chamber indicator and standard manual safety provisions as described in Walther documentation.
