The Walther WMP is a full-size .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire semi-automatic pistol built for range use, small-game hunting and optics-equipped shooting. It features a 4.5 in barrel and an overall length of 8.2 in, and ships with two factory magazines (a 15-round version is offered). The slide is machined and the design is optics-ready with removable cover plates and adapter plates for common micro red-dot footprints. Ergonomics follow modern Walther patterns with a polymer grip/frame and an accessory rail on the dust cover. The WMP uses a fluted chamber and a four-way "Quad" magazine release for ambidextrous operation. Sights include a fiber-optic front and a serrated rear; a second, lower rear sight is included to alter point of impact. The unloaded weight is listed at about 27.8 oz and the pistol is positioned as a lightweight, rugged .22 WMR option for recreation, training and light field use.
