The Walther PDP Compact is a striker-fired, short-recoil semi-automatic pistol built on a high-strength polymer frame with Tenifer®-treated carbon steel slide and barrel. Compact PDP models are offered in multiple barrel lengths (listed by manufacturer as 4.0", 4.6" SD OR and 5.0") and use Walther’s Performance Duty Trigger (PDT). The compact configuration for the PDP family ships with a 15-round magazine capacity (compact specification).
The PDP Compact features replaceable, adjustable front and rear iron sights and an accessory reflex-mount option (OR) that accepts common footprints up to 47 mm. The pistol includes an accessory rail, reversible magazine release, adjustable grip backstraps (S/M/L), and multiple safeties: trigger safety, striker safety, disconnector and a loaded-chamber indicator.
