The Defend Your Legacy Series XD 4 in 9mm Service Model (XDD9101HC) is a striker-fired defensive pistol built on the XD platform. It features a 4 in hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite finish and a forged steel, Melonite-finished slide. The pistol ships with a single 16-round magazine and incorporates striker status and a loaded chamber indicator.
The firearm is built on a black polymer frame with a 1.2 in grip width and steel dovetail front and rear. It includes an accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers, and a dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod. Unloaded weight is 28 oz with an overall length of 7.3 in and an overall height of 5.5 in.
Safety features include Springfield's Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System and the SA grip safety for passive safety engagement.
