The Springfield Armory Emissary is a forged-steel 1911 built to blend defensive capability with custom-grade features. The Emissary family uses a Tri-Top cut slide with 40 LPI top-strap serrations, a bushingless heavy stainless-steel bull barrel and a full-length one-piece guide rod to reduce muzzle flip and improve accuracy. Springfield’s picture pairs a tritium/luminescent front sight with a Tactical Rack U-Dot™ rear for fast target acquisition in varied lighting.
The Emissary frame is forged stainless steel with grenade-pattern texturing on the front strap and mainspring housing matched to slim-line VZ Grips® machined from G10. The design includes a skeletonized hammer and a solid-body, flat-faced trigger; the 5.00" Emissary variants include an integrated Picatinny accessory rail and each Emissary ships with two high-quality magazines with base pads.
