The Echelon 4.0C is Springfield Armory’s compact variant of the modular Echelon pistol family. It uses a serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group housed inside a removable polymer grip module, and ships with both a flush 15-round magazine and an extended 18-round magazine. The 4.0C features a 4.00 in. hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite® finish and an optics-ready, billet-machined slide.
Factory sights are self-illuminating tritium units ( on the ). The pistol includes a Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover for lights/lasers, ambidextrous controls, and the Variable Interface System (VIS) for direct-mounting popular red-dot optics. The design is striker-fired with typical modern internal safeties and a trigger-style blade safety.
