The Springfield Armory Prodigy 1911 DS 4.25" is a double-stack 1911-style pistol built around a forged carbon steel frame and optics-ready slide. It ships with both a flush 17-round magazine and an extended 20-round magazine and features a 4.25" match-grade bull barrel for improved follow-up shots and accuracy.
The Prodigy AOS model includes a Picatinny accessory rail, fiber-optic front and black serrated rear sights, an ambidextrous manual safety and a polymer grip module with wraparound Adaptive Grip Texture. The pistol is optics-ready using the Agency Optic System (AOS) and comes in a black Cerakote finish with a two-piece full-length guide rod recoil system. Specifications include a length of 7.8" and a factory weight of 32.5 oz.
