The Smith & Wesson SW1911 E-Series is a full-size 1911-format single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP with a 5.0in barrel and an 8+1 round magazine capacity. It features a stainless steel frame and slide with a satin stainless finish and low-profile for a classic sight picture.
Factory features include an oversized external extractor, precision-fit trigger, a larger improved ejection port, a titanium firing pin, a recessed muzzle and a detailed slide rib, all intended to improve reliability and function. The E-Series ship with wooden laminate E-series grips and a full-size overall length of 8.7in, weight 39.8 oz, reflecting the traditional Government-size 1911 dimensions.
Built on Smith & Wesson's SW1911 platform, the E-Series model combines traditional 1911 ergonomics and fit-and-finish with a set of factory performance upgrades intended for serious range use or defensive applications.
