Smith & Wesson’s Performance Center variants of the M&P9 M2.0 are upgraded M&P M2.0 pistols built for enhanced performance. Performance Center M&P M2.0 pistols are offered with tuned Performance Center triggers, aggressive grip texture and interchangeable palmswell grip inserts used across the M&P M2.0 family. The Performance Center line includes ported/compensated and optics-ready C.O.R.E. variants that provide reduced muzzle rise and provisions for mounting micro on compatible models.
As with the broader M&P family, these pistols use a polymer frame with a rigid stainless-steel chassis and include an accessory (Picatinny-style) rail for lights/lasers, ambidextrous controls, and passive trigger safety features. Performance Center models are marketed toward law-enforcement/duty use and competition/sport shooting, and incorporate specialty sights and other Performance Center refinements.
