Sig Arms 9mm SP2009 Sig Pro Excellent in Box Low Production SP2099BMS 2009-9-BMS

Here is a relatively rare Sig 9mm. Many of its mates and descendants have been produced in the Sig Pro Series, but not many with the SP2009-9-BMS sku. Production was limited, we are told, to the year 1999. Construction is Polymer Frame with steel parts; curiously, this one has a frame mounted decocker and a slide mounted ambidextrous safety. Frame is slotted for earlier non-Picatinny accessories. Sights are dovetailed / white bar rear. Right hand shooter safety is reversible. Weight Empty is 25.2 ounces; barrel is 3.9 inches; overall length is 7.4 inches; width 1.3 inches; height 5.7 inches. Caliber is 9mm Luger, and this SP2009 comes in its original box with all its papers, both recoil springs, both 10 shot ban period finger rest style factory magazines. One of the papers, the Certificate of Quality, has a handwritten note on its back from Sig Gunsmith William LaRue indicating which recoil spring to use and when. Surface detractions on this SP2009 are minimal, only faint whitening to some of its edges. We classify it as Near Mint in Box, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shopper to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. It comes to us from its exclusive consumer owner, a West Tennessee Civilian.
