HS2000 9mm Springfield XD Ancestor XDM9201HC type 17 shot Very Good 1 Magazine

Here is the ancestor to Springfield Armory's XD series pistols. Manufacturer is HS Produkt of Karlovac, Croatia, the exclusive manufacturer of the XD for Springfield. From its 34000 range serial number, we estimate this specimen was manufactured in 2003, well before its XD descendant debuted at the 2006 SHOT Show. This pistol, however, has never been in Geneseo, Illinois. Type is striker fired locked breech semi automatic pistol. Construction is forged steel slide, barrel, and internal parts, with steel reinforced polymer frame and steel bodied magazines. Chambering is 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. Barrel is 4 3/8 inch six groove right hand 1:16 conventional rifling, so this pistol will be garbage mouthed and feed anything from cast bullets to match ammunition. Slide is square contour with rear serrations. Sights are recently installed Mepro H3 luminous night sights. From our dark room inspection, we rate them at 60 to 70 percent of their original strength. Sight radius is 5 7/8 inches. Slide thickness is 1.05 inches at the port. Trigger is .350 serrated face with center safety lever, pulls at a steady 7 pounds with 1/2 inch of travel. The HS2000 also has a firing pin safety and grip safety. It incorporates a single slot Picatinny rail on its frame front. Magazine included is a new Springfield 16 rounder, plus a surplus modified 15. Weight empty is 28 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Height is 5 3/4 inches; length is 7 1/2 inches. This pistol comes to us from its law enforcement career in the Land of Israel. It is import stamped on the left side of its slide. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear. We rate this pistol as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
