Seller Description
Here is the prim and proper variant of Smith & Wesson's 39 series pistols, the 3913 Ladysmith Variant. From its serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1990, First Year of Production. May 14 of 1990 might very well be the actual day. Our records from the early 1990s list its product number as 103918, not 108290. It is a Devel type, traditional double and single action, hammer fired, semi automatic compact pistol. Construction is steel barrel, slide, sights, levers, hammer, trigger, magazine body and internal parts, built into a lightweight alloy frame with polymer one piece grip, cartridge followers and magazine floorplates. Chambering is 9mm Parabellum, 9mm Luger, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. Barrel is distinctively contoured 3 1/2 inch, whose muzzle end mates consistently with the slide bushing and produces match grade accuracy. Bore is 5 groove right hand, 1:18.75 rifling. Guide rod is full length steel. Sights are matte surface Novak combat 3 dot, dovetailed front and rear, and drift adjustable only for windage. Smith & Wesson 3913s, of course, come point of aim from the factory. Safety lever is left side only for right handed shooters, and serves as a decocker to safety discontinue a firing session. The .265 hammer is factory bobbed with no spur, for a premeditated first shot from resting position, single action thereafter. The .305 smooth faced trigger pulls at 11 pounds vicinity double action; single action pull is a stiff but crisp two stage 7 pounds vicinity, with negligible felt creep and overtravel. The 3913 also has a firing pin safety and a magazine safety; it will NOT fire single shot with the magazine removed. Grips are factory S&W gray polymer Ladysmith type. Magazine is all stainless bodied factory, made by principal subcontractor Check-Mate for Smith & Wesson, with steel springs, red polymer cartridge follower, and flat type floorplate, 19071 variant. Magazine holds 8 rounds, 8 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Overall length is 6 13/16 inches from the muzzle to the end of the grip frame strut; height is 5 3/8 inches from the top of the rear sight to the end of the magazine’s finger rest; 5 1/2 inch sight radius. Frame thickness at the port is .725 inches; slide thickness .925 at the same area. Levers are ambidextrous safety and decocker type, 1.13 inch outside spread. Trigger travel is 7/8 inch on double action. Weight empty is 23 1/2 ounces, with center of gravity at the magazine release; or 28 ounces loaded with 9 rounds. Finish is matte surface stainless slide and barrel, matte blue sights, coated matte alloy frame, and gray one piece grip. This Ladysmith comes to us from security duty in the Land of Israel, attest its import marking on left side of slide, and the importer hang tag in its box. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear, right side grip wear, and lateral holster wear to the slide. We rate this 3913 as Very Good, 75 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this pistol has been fired fewer than 1500 times, no rounds at all for a Second Gen Metal Frame S&W. From our poor memory, the last replacement price for any 3913 on smith-wesson com was $900 vicinity when the last ones were discontinued a decade ago. We're offering the Ladysmith in the photos, however, for only $ 469.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or Massachusetts. Add a new flat plate 8 shot Smith & Wesson 19071 factory magazine only $39; or a Triple K 2087 nickel bodied only $29, and no additional shipping charges.
