A classic Sig. According to research performed using the serial number, this pistol was manufactured between 1999 and 2000. One of Sig’s finest pistols, the P239 was designed as a more compact version of the P225. It was intended for such tasks as home-defense and self-defense (car or conceal carry). This one comes with white sights. As one of the most popular pistols on the market, replacement sights, particularly night sights, are not hard to come by. The double-action/single-action (DA/SA) nature of the pistol, combined with Sig’s trademark de-cocker, makes the P239 a very safe pistol to operate. Mechanically, the pistol is sound. The trigger pull is smooth and crisp. The barrel is in very good condition. The previous owner took cleaning of the pistol very seriously it seems. Sig pistols are well known world-wide for their accuracy and reliability. If you are looking for a reliable 9mm pistol for home or self-defense, the P239 is an excellent choice.
