We haven't sold many of the fine little Russian Makarov pistols since the early 1990s, but this is a nice one that came to us from one of our local customers who bought it from us back then. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint amounts of whitening on its sharp edges. We rate it as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, since only about 10 percent of its surfaces are affected by any kind of contact wear in our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent, and its springs are all full strength. It even has its original cleaning rod and disassembly tool. This IJ-70 is a Bear Arms Import, manufactured by Russia's premiere arms maker, Imez in Baikal. This one has fully adjustable rear sight, and decocker safety. This IJ-70 is steel frame double and single action, two blue steel 8-shot magazines, 24.5 oz. empty, 3 3/8 inch barrel.
