The Ruger MAX-9 is a compact, optic-ready 9mm micro-compact designed for everyday carry. This configuration features a 3.2 in barrel, tritium fiber-optic front sight and a drift-adjustable rear sight, and ships with two factory magazines (including a 12-round magazine) to provide a 12+1 capacity.
Constructed with an alloy steel slide and hammer-forged barrel over a glass-filled nylon grip with an anodized frame insert, the MAX-9 uses a striker-fired, short-recoil action and includes safety features such as a manual thumb safety (this variant), integrated trigger safety, striker blocker, loaded chamber indicator, and a magazine disconnect. The pistol is optic-ready for direct mounting of JPoint/Shield-style micro and is marketed as a compact, American-made carry pistol.
