Rare Caspian 1911 .45 ACP

99+% condition, rare gun. This gun is one of the original 1911's manufactured by Caspian before they restricted themselves to components. Comes with the original box (a white cardboard box!) but will be shipped in something better. Bought from the original owner who had never used it; box bears his name. I fired otwo mags through it. This Commander sized stainless framed two-toned .45 has white outline rear sights and an orange-insert front ramp sight. The sst frame has a protrusion/rest below the trigger guard, checkered front strap below that. Left side of slide is scroll engraved "Caspian Arms Limited"; the right side of the frame is engraved Caspian Arms Ltd., Hardwick, VT U.S.A." and is serial number 15231. VERY few of these guns were made. I brought this gun by Caspian when I first bought it, and found out who had done the original build. (Caspian offered to 'paper' the gun, probably a good idea). I brought the gun to the original assembler who inspected it and insisted on going over it in detail - more reminiscences ensued. Will post pictures if requested. A nice gun for the right owner. I will allow a three day inspection period for this gun. Hate to part with this gun.
