Seller Description

I've had this pistol for years now and it has always functioned flawlessly - no failures to fire, no stovepiping, nothing wrong. It is reliable, accurate, and built like a tank! Ruger’s SR series of striker-fired pistols was preceded by the P-series of double action/single action pistols. The last of the P-series pistols was the P95, which Ruger quietly retired in October of 2013. Few lamented the passing of this under appreciated pistol. For most people — beginners especially — it is a reasonable choice . . .
The Ruger P95 is a Semi-Automatic pistol that shoots 9mm Luger ammunition. With a maximum capacity of 15 rounds, the Ruger P95 holds an average amount compared to other pistols of the same caliber. Ruger suggests a retail price of $399, which is less than the average 9mm Luger pistol.
The average 9mm Luger bullet has 338 ft-lbs. of energy at the muzzle, which is comparable to the average pistol's round 338 ft-lbs. On average, this round has a muzzle velocity of 1,104 fps , which is about average compared to other pistol rounds.
Compared to the average pistol, the 9mm Luger Ruger P95 is:
5.8% shorter in overall length
0.35 in. shorter in barrel length
0.18 lbs heavier
about average in muzzle energy produced
Suitability for concealed carry is highly subjective and difficult to quantify. Smaller handguns will be easier to conceal but may be more difficult to handle. More powerful ammunition may have greater stopping power but will often be more difficult to fire accurately.
