REMINGTON UMC MANUFACTURE EARLY PRODUCTION PERIOD SER# 4970. Pistol delivered NOVEMBER 7, 1918. Four days before the end of WW1. ser# is lightly stamped on many of these early models as this one is. All markings are deep, correct and in exc condition. "E" marked mainspring housing. There were a total of 21676 UMC pistols manufactured during it's contract period that lasted just under a year. This pistol during it's life was improperly stored on it's right side. There is frosting on the right side in spots. Finish is thin, condition and parts are original and excellent.
